Childrens Center - Farmington BuildingNew Site Opening in Farmington - January 9th

The Children’s Center is pleased to announce that we will be opening a site in Farmington on January 9th. The center will be located at 508 Fairbanks Road in Farmington. We will be offering center-based programming to children birth through five with an autism or mental health diagnosis and/or children who may be exhibiting significant interfering behaviors under Children’s Behavioral Health Day Treatment (Section 65 Services). We also will be offering children’s targeted case management to children birth through twelve and their families.

Overseen by Linda Riley, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) will provide half-day or full-day specialized services in a highly structured setting with a high child to staff ratio. Jonathan Kimball, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, will provide support for programming created based on principals of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) using discrete trials and data collection to inform treatment and create programs. Targeted Case Managers will offer children and families additional assistance in assessing and developing a plan to make referrals for needed services and access resources in the community.

Please contact Shelley Livie, Intake Coordinator at the Children’s Center, for further questions or information regarding specific eligibility criteria for each program. Providers can email, fax, or mail the completed referral forms to Shelley using the contact information on our website. We are excited to begin offering comprehensive early intervention services to the children and families of Franklin County.

Our Mission

The mission of the Children's Center is to meet the needs of all children by offering quality programs that encourage individual growth, provide support for their families, and promote inclusion of all children in the community.

Our Philosophy

We believe that children are unique individuals who learn best through creative play.  We believe that children thrive when given the opportunity to develop social, emotional, and physical skills within an environment that provides peer interactions, nurturing adults, and developmentally appropriate materials.  We believe that family members are the most important people in a child's life. We believe that families are entitled to help and support in identifying their options and resources in accordance with their lifestyles and personal values. We believe that families, professional staff, and the community can work together to support children as they grow.
