This individual is responsible for the following:
Fostering and monitoring the progress of young children in inclusive or specialized settings, modifying and adapting the curriculum planning and implementing programs for children with diagnosed disabilities, developmental delays, or who are at risk for developing disabling conditions, and working cooperatively as a member of an integrated team.
This person must be reliable, conscientious, and interested in working with preschool children in a supportive way as well as an effective team member with good oral and written communication skills. Training or experience in the provision of services to children with special needs preferred.
The applicant must have a high school diploma and be eligible for a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certificate to apply for the position. Must complete the BHP training during the first 30 days of employment.
This individual must meet the description and requirements above, plus:
This person must have 90 documented college credit hours or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. This position is comparable to certification as an Education Technician III as defined by the State of Maine’s Department of Education.
The applicant must have the required credits and eligible for certifications to apply for the position. Must be fingerprinted and hold an Ed Tech certification prior to employment. Must complete the Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) training during the first 30 days of employment.
The Children’s Center, an early intervention and family support program for children with special needs ages birth through 5 years, is seeking a Children’s Targeted Case Manager. Targeted Case Managers provide services for children aged 0-20. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is required. Must have LSW or be eligible to apply for a conditional social work license through the State of Maine.
Required skills include excellent communication skills, the ability to establish rapport, complete assessments, develop and evaluate plans, and accurately document interactions using a family strength-based approach. The preferred candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Travel required. A reliable vehicle, valid insurance, and a valid driver’s license are a must. Knowledge of Early Intervention and experience with children with special needs preferred. 1 to 2 years of experience providing case management or in-home services to families preferred.

The Clinician will be responsible for providing clinical consultation to the targeted case management program and special purpose programs, providing direct family support through social work services and/or family therapy and center-based treatment programs. Additionally, the Clinician will provide intensive therapy and support to children and families using a strengths-based outcome-oriented approach to include the following:
Master’s Degree in human services, social work, counseling, or psychology and Maine licensure required (LCPC, LMSW-CC, LCSW preferred). Must be detail-oriented and have strong oral and written communication skills. Position requires excellent time management, clinical, and program management skills.
