Current openings at Children’s Center are:

Ed Tech III/Section 65 BHP – Augusta, Farmington, Skowhegan sites

This individual is responsible for fostering and monitoring the progress of young children in inclusive and/or specialized settings. The individual is responsible for modifying and adapting the curriculum planning and implementing programs for children with diagnosed disabilities, developmental delays, or who are at risk for developing disabling conditions. Works cooperatively as a member of an integrated team.

Individual must have 90 documented college credit hours or Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Applicant must be reliable, conscientious and interested in working with preschool children in a supportive way. Individual must be an effective team member, with good oral and written communication skills. Training or experience in the provision of services to children with special needs preferred. This position is comparable to certification as an Education Technician III as defined by State of Maine’s Department of Education. Must be finger-printed and hold an Ed Tech certification prior to employment. Must complete the Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) training during first thirty days of employment.

Children’s Targeted Case Manager – Skowhegan site

The preferred candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field is required; must have LSW or be eligible to apply for conditional social work license through the State of Maine.
1 to 2 years experience providing case management or in-home services to families preferred.
Required skills include excellent communication skills, ability to establish rapport, complete assessments, develop and evaluate plans, and accurately document interactions using a family strength-based approach.
Travel required; a reliable vehicle, valid insurance and valid driver’s license are a must.
Knowledge of Early Intervention and experience with children with special needs preferred.
