Home Support The Center

The Children's Center Early Intervention and Family Support is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.

Your donations help support the programs and services that offer such a great support to children with special needs right here in Central Maine.

Each year, hundreds of children & their families in Central Maine benefit from the services provided at and through the Children's Center's locations in Augusta and Skowhegan.

The Children's Center provides early intervention services, such as speech, physical and occupational therapies; mental health services; early education; targeted case management; family support services; parent and child care provider education programs - all in an inclusive, nuturing, child care center-based environment.

The financial support we receive from YOU helps make this all happen!

Thank You 2016 Sponsors

We are extremely greatful to the sponsors of our two major events, the 15th Annual Chili Chowder Challenge and 2nd Annual Dinner & Auction, for this past year. Both events were a huge success, raising approximately $45,000 to go towards Playground Renovations at the Children's Center in Augusta in Spring 2017.

Other Fundraising

The Children's Center also participates in other fundraising opportunities including Amazon Smile, CLYNK, and Hannaford Reusable Bags Program as well as receives support from local business and government employee giving programs.

Ways to Support the Mission of the Children's Center

There are many ways to support young children and their families. We deeply appreciate the financial support we receive from the community – from individuals and businesses in Central Maine and beyond.

And there are other ways to support the mission of the Children’s Center, as well!

Capital Campaign History

The Children’s Center Capital Campaign was launched in June of 2001. Executive Director Lynn Cole and Board President Judy Griffin successfully recruited David and Kaye Flanagan to chair the committee, whose goal was to generate enough funding to allow for building an addition on the north side of the existing building on what was then the Capitol Street Extension, and to build a new wing on the south side of the building, and to renovate the interior of the building.
